Yamba beaches

Whiting Beach is a wonderful still water beach, located along the mighty Clarence River and Yamba Break Wall. The gentle rolling waves makes Whiting Beach ideal for young families. Easy access to the beach, plenty of parking and public toilets.

Turners Beach  offers great surfing at northern and southern end of beach, little rock pools, toilet & shower facilities, plenty of parking, easy access to the beach, protected from southerly winds, patrolled in the summer months (see Yamba Surf Life Saving Club).

Main Beach – Yamba Surf Life Saving Club is located at Main Beach, click on the link to view beach patrols. A 33 metre salt water rock pool, cafe, toilet & shower facilities, picnic tables, protected from southerly and northerly winds, plenty of parking (at the top of the hill), a good family beach.  Click on the link to view the Main Beach SurfCam. Convent Beach  a beautiful little beach with small waves, little rock pools, snorkel in southern corner, protected from southerly winds. Keep an eye out as you are bound to see dolphins.

Pippi Beach big open beach ideal for long walks, good swimming and fishing (off rock shelf) at the northern end of the beach, good surfing spots and ideal for kite surfing when the wind is up, toilet & shower facilities, permits required for 4 wheel drive access, patrolled in the summer months (see Yamba Surf Life saving Club), southern end is dog friendly.

Flat Rock  – big open beach, access from Pippi Beach & Angourie Road, fish off rock ledge, permits required for 4 wheel drive access, dog friendly.

Angourie beaches 

Angourie Point – surfers heaven when working, fish off end of southern rock ledge, fresh water rock pool, toilet and shower facilities, plenty of parking, a great lookout to watch all the surfers.

Green Point – good fishing off rocks, explore the rock pools.

Spooky Beach – great for kids, surfing, snorkel on southern end, toilet and shower facilities, easy walk to Angourie Corner Store.

Back Beach – a short walk along a beach track gets you to the beautiful Back Beach, great for swimming especially at the northern corner.  A great beach to go to if you want to get away from any crowds.

Shelley Beach  – only for the adventurer, a good 2 hour coastal range walk along designated tracks, no facilities, great fishing.
